Southern Pump Services Engineering manufacture and supply an extensive range of rainwater harvesting packages, these can be used for residential, commercial developments.

Forth coming regulatory changes will mean that over 90% of UK homes will have their water usage metered, making consumers more and more aware of how expensive the commodity of "common or garden" water has become.

From a simple, above ground water butt to below ground storage tanks and comprehensive, automatic recycling systems, Southern Pumps’s range of rainwater harvesting products provide versatile, economic and ecological solutions and give consumers the ability to freely collect water and use it with out feeling guilty; on their plants and lawns, for washing their cars, in their washing machines and in their toilets.

Rainwater harvesters are cost effective methods of saving up to 50% of your water usage with a payback of only 5-8 years. Environmentally friendly a rainwater harvester can save sufficient money to pay for itself in under ten years, and help conserve our water supplies, and if you use the water to wash your clothes they will come out much softer to the touch as rainwater is naturally soft.

There are two types of systems.

Rainharvester Garden system

The Rainharvester Garden system is designed to collect rainwater for use in garden watering and irrigation and comes complete with the garden pump and filter package. Using recycled rainwater for garden irrigation is the most natural way to keep your garden looking beautiful all year round. Without a rainwater harvesting system, we use expensive drinking water to water our gardens. The Rainharvester Garden system uses simple filters, and supplies rainwater via a pressure sensitive pump as required for garden irrigation, plus car washing and general cleaning, and has 100% water yield.

By using a pressure sensitive pump electricity consumption is kept to a minimum.

Rainharvester House & Garden

The Rainharvester Home & Garden system can collect rainwater for use in the home [in non-potable applications] for laundry, toilet flushing, general cleaning and garden watering. This also comes with the home filter package and home and garden pump system. The Rainharvester Home & Garden system uses cutting edge pump technology, to run alongside the mains water supply to the property, switching automatically as required between stored rainwater and mains water. The Rainharvester Home & Garden system also uses a highly efficient filterwhich is self-cleaning and has a high water yield of over 95%.

The self-cleaning filter can be removed without the use of tools for easy maintenance.
