We recently completed the installation of four dual pump station systems as part of an £80,000 contract for a commercial client. This project involved the full supply, installation, commissioning, and testing of multiple high capacity pumping stations designed to manage both foul and surface water demands across a large commercial site. The installation formed part of a wider infrastructure upgrade to improve flow handling, system resilience, and long term operational reliability throughout the estate.
Our engineering team handled all aspects of the installation, including civil coordination, electrical integration, control panel setup, and full commissioning. Each of the four dual pump stations was configured with duty/standby operation to provide exceptional redundancy and ensure continuous performance even during peak flow conditions. Pumps were selected based on hydraulic performance, long term efficiency, and suitability for the site’s demanding operational requirements, ensuring the system meets both current and future capacity needs.
This installation included a complete upgrade of all four pump stations, incorporating new pipework, valves, guide rails, level controls, and modern control panels. The systems were designed to deliver long term performance while reducing maintenance costs and improving operational efficiency. All mechanical components were replaced with heavy duty, corrosion resistant materials suitable for continuous operation in challenging foul and surface water environments.
As part of the £80k contract, we also provided telemetry options for each station, allowing remote monitoring and instant alerts in the event of pump failure, high level alarms, or power issues. This is essential for commercial sites where downtime can cause significant disruption. The telemetry systems integrate directly with the new control panels, providing real time visibility of pump performance, run hours, fault conditions, and system status across all four stations.
Our client now benefits from four fully modernised dual pump stations with increased capacity, improved reliability, and a future proof design suitable for expanding site demands. The upgraded configuration ensures the system can comfortably handle peak flows, emergency conditions, and future development without requiring further major upgrades. This installation significantly enhances the site’s wastewater management infrastructure and provides long term operational security.
