Overview

Regular servicing keeps pump stations running reliably and prevents costly failures. After a decade of annual maintenance, this North London basement pump station has operated trouble free. We recommend annual inspections for low use stations and more frequent visits for high use or commercial sites. Every other year we advise a full pump out and jetting tanker service to remove fats, oils and grease (FOG) and non biodegradable debris.

21 Point Pumping Station Service Check

Our comprehensive service package covers mechanical, electrical and operational checks. Engineers complete a full inspection and provide photographic service report and recommended spares if required.

1. Lift pump(s), clean pump and check pump data plate
2. Inspect pump volute for damage
3. Inspect impeller for debris and damage; unblock as required
4. Check wear ring(s) for damage
5. Assess motor and pump bearing condition
6. Remove oil drain plug and inspect oil for water ingress (where applicable)
7. Refit oil drain plug with new O'ring; refill or replace oil (where applicable)
8. Test motor windings for continuity and insulation integrity
9. Inspect motor cables for wear and water ingress
10. Check and clean level control floats and ultrasonic heads
11. Inspect pump lifting system for serviceability
12. Check operation of isolation and non return valves
13. Inspect wet well pipework condition
14. Inspect wet well and valve chamber including access covers
15. Inspect and service pump control panel
16. Adjust pump controls where necessary
17. Test all safety and alarm facilities
18. Measure earth loop resistance and electrical safety checks
19. Clean control panel
20. Inspect control panel kiosk condition (where applicable)
21. Clean chamber and remove items that could cause blockages
22. Optional: desludging via tanker pump out and jetting
