Pump Station Servicing and Maintenance – London

Routine servicing is essential to prevent emergency failures, high level alarms and pump blockages. Our planned maintenance keeps your sewage or rainwater pumping station running efficiently and reduces the risk of costly call outs. We recommend annual servicing for low use domestic stations, quarterly servicing for commercial or high use sites, and tailored schedules for critical installations.

For deeper cleans, we provide tanker supported desludging to remove fats, oils and grease (FOG), rags, wipes and sediment — the most common causes of high level alarms, pump failures and rising levels.

Emergency Pump Station De-Sludging

High level alarm activated ? Pumps not running ? Rising levels or sewage backing up ? Our emergency response team attends immediately with a tanker to pump out the chamber, remove rags and FOG, jet the pipework and restore safe operation. We prioritise overflowing stations, basement pump rooms and properties at immediate risk of flooding.

Practical Tips to Reduce Blockages

  • Avoid flushing wipes, sanitary products, cotton buds or kitchen towels.
  • Reduce FOG entering the system from kitchens; install grease traps where possible.
  • Use telemetry or alarm monitoring to detect rising levels early.
  • Track pump run hours, amp draw and megger readings to identify failing pumps.
